Your tasks
Based in Milan, the position is for a 6/12-month internship within the Capital Markets - Bank Bonds Origination team, that is responsible for the advice of and the strategic dialogue with Financial Institutions that are active in the primary bond market, with a particular focus on Southern and Central & Eastern Europe Opportunity to develop a strong basis in credit risk management and credit report writing skills
As a local intern of Bonds, you will be supporting the team so as to win mandates for new bond issues and supporting in covering the client base together with a senior team member. You will also be supporting in the relationship with the Syndicate and the EMTN desk. You will also be supporting in maintaining strong alignment with other departments and desks such as Sales, Trading, Relationship Management, Derivatives (IRCCT) and other divisions to ensure prime coordination.
**Profile**:
We are looking for a person with the following attributes.
Degree in Economics / Finance
Concentration / Major in finance or other relevant fields
Understanding of current macro trends and dynamics impacting Italian corporates
Excellent knowledge of English & Italian
Preferred prior exposure to the banking and finance industry, ideally in debt capital markets or fixed income
Good knowledge of debt instruments and strong analytical ability
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as team spirit and work ethic
High level of drive and initiative
Comfortable using Excel and PowerPoint. Some basic programming skills are a positive attribute
Spanish would be a plus
