Reporting to the Manager, Communication & Conversion, the Outreach, Communication & Recruitment Officer is responsible for the management and execution of a faculty-focused recruitment communication and marketing plan to attract, recruit and convert domestic and international students (undergraduate and graduate) to UNB.
**Position summary**:
- Develop and execute designated faculty communications plans for prospective students and applicants.
- Curate content for the DiscoverUNB News and automated faculty campaigns.
- Expand each individual faculty campaign to include multi-step plans, value-added content, and engaging calls to action.
- Assist in the building and monitoring of communication campaign workflows within CRM Recruit.
- Assist in the development, building, implementation, and monitoring of text message communication campaign workflows for faculty-based text message communication plans.
- Maintain and develop recruitment-owned faculty & program web resources.
- Conduct regular content audits of program pages, writing new web content and following marketing and web best practices to ensure all information is displayed in an informative and appropriate manner.
- Assist in the organization of all faculty-based events within Student Recruitment's Fall, Winter & Spring event series.
- Assist the Manager, Communication & Conversion in the development and implementation of a coordinated conversion strategy to best align Student Recruitment communication and conversion efforts with those of each UNB Faculty.
- Support faculties & departments in their independent outreach efforts.
- Research other universities and maintain an understanding of competition in the marketplace.
- Represent Recruitment on various committees as required.
- Keep abreast of industry standards and practices and monitor competitors to maintain a current understanding of competition in the marketplace.
**Requirements/Skills**:
- University degree supplemented by two years direct experience (or suitable equivalent combination of education and experience) in marketing, graphic design, publication production and project management.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work effectively on cross-function and virtual teams.
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to deliver top-quality written communications to a wide variety of audiences and across multiple channels.
- Experience with digital marketing and good knowledge of some or all the following software/technologies is required: web content management system, graphic design, HTML, Social Networks (ex. Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, etc.), Google Analytics.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple projects effectively. Excellent administrative skills including the ability to time manage and work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism. Ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholder groups.
- Ability to plan and work independently and as part of a larger team.
- High level computing skills and experience of Microsoft Office package and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Good existing knowledge of UNB and its program offerings is considered an asset.
This position is covered by the terms and conditions contained in the Collective Agreement negotiated between UNB and PSAC/PTSU Local 60551.
