What you'll be doing day to day
- Contribute to guarantee department in shape as new and fully and efficiently stocked with the four merchandising basics daily in place and that the IKEA product range inspires and satisfies customers.
- Ensure your team has all the correct knowledge about the product range and the IKEA services to improve customers overall shopping experience (active selling approach).
- Understand the IKEA omni-channels approach and know how to use this in a commercial way for different customers.
- You follow up and take action accordingly also by using proven solutions and good examples.
- In order to grow the business, use the layout as a commercial tool as well as the range presentation and vitality initiatives, to maximise sales and long-term profitability.
- You keep an active eye on the competition and take appropriate action when necessary which you communicate to your partner both in the City and within IKEA organization.
- You develop your team and its individual members and ensure you have a succession in place.
- You actively promote the IKEA environmental commitment for sustainable life at home.
- Have a proactive approach for quality and related cost prevention.
- To contribute on gathering and translating knowledge of people's needs and dreams in the local market into relevant and inspiring, unique IKEA range presentation solutions that support a convenient shopping experience.
- Contribute to secure an excellent customer shopping experience during the whole sales process.

**What you'll need to have**
- Experience in leading, inspiring and develop a team a people
- Strong entrepreneur commercial approach in a City environment with different customer meeting points
- Focus on overall customer experience and satisfaction in a City environment
- Knowledge of Sales techniques, local market and services, Sales Steering, Sales channels, Cycles, Data Analytics and Sales KPIs, Sales Location Management/Space Capacity and articles forecasting
- Ability to make things happen, priorities and make decisions by championing flexibility, speed, and simplicity
- A considered decision-maker thanks to strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trustful relationships
- Ability to organize and prioritize different tasks and processes
- Ability to identify business opportunities and to create a high commercial performance
- Ability to follow up and measure performance of output and capture learnings to improve planning and performance moving forward
- Ability to speak fluent in Italian and English
