**_ ROLE OBJECTIVE_**
- ** Monitor** of **regulatory** changes and macroeconomics competitive environment.
- ** Contribute to develop the pricing and reimbursement strategies **for in-launch products.
- ** F**ollow the **pricing activities for in-market products.**:
- ** Data collection and Evidence Needs** analysing local HTA/RWE opportunities to develop local projects.
- ** Contribute to Market Access strategy development**, including pricing and reimbursement strategy, value-based contracting, early access.
- Contribute to business objectives achievement, **designing and proposing the most suitable economic models and HTA **evaluation for products in-launch and in market, according to local regulations and EUCAN HQ market access guidelines.
**_ RESPONSIBILITIES_**
- Define and implement pricing and reimbursement strategy for new products (from 2 years before the launch) and products in market, providing ad hoc analysis and data, drugs positioning and payers’ willingness to pay and ensuring the preparation of the P&R Dossier for new products, in line with the International Pricing Guidelines.
- Elaborate and submit all the documents together with the P&R Dossier, required for the negotiation of new products, line extensions, renegotiation within the planned deadlines.
- Develop, based on P&R scenario analysis, competitive and regulation dynamics, evaluations and assumptions to support the Business Units and the Finance Department in the planning process.
- Implement and maintain robust price and reimbursement outcomes database and analytic platform, ensuring continuous updating of internal price database, financial pricing and reimbursement model, to examine price as a key strategic lever across the portfolio.
- Maintain a high awareness and understanding of payers needs and behaviours in order to develop tactics and strategies to meet these needs.
- Develop ad hoc economic analysis aimed to support P&R reimbursement process at national level and HTA/health economics projects developed within PV&A organization, medical department and BUs at national/regional/local level.
- Support, as reference point, PVPA Global Teams regarding pricing issues/competitive product analysis, health economics activities needed for the development of the international pricing strategies highlighting country specific opportunities and risks.
- Conduct and write results of health economic and outcome research studies; sets up medical-economic development plans according to findings aiming at obtaining and maintaining the best conditions of market access for company products, in accordance with EUCAN policies and Italian regulations.
- Design health economics models that incorporate epidemiological data and shows the economic value of clinical trial endpoints to define the advantage of the therapy and to justify the product’s price.
- Design disease management models for health economic analyses by identifying existing databases of resource consumption and costs; identifying cost-drivers as well as subgroups of the patient population with significant costs; looking at competitors; exploring paramedical treatment patterns eg physiotherapy, home nursing; defining patient success outcomes and identifying critical data gaps for survey/collection and preparing protocols and survey questionnaires to address these gaps.
- Collaborate to develop a comprehensive database of major reference material including: major clinical published studies, epidemiological literature, economic evaluations, health economics or HTA publication that are relevant to the company’s therapeutic areas.
- Forms the necessary alliances with corporate head office colleagues and ensure that any Italian specific requirements are included in global protocols.
- Supports the development of RWE collection programs proposed by Global Market Access and manages the development of local programs to collect evidence to optimize and maintain access status.
- Participate to value propositions development, partnering closely with market access managers, medical affairs, marketing, through the health economics messages and evidences
- Develop effective and constructive interactions with external stakeholders (vendors, regional stakeholders, pharmacists, etc.) according to the market access plan and in field PV&A activities to develop local projects with focus on economic evidences according to the BP and market access plan.
- Create/build and maintain a solid network of professional contacts within the HTA, MA setting & key stakeholders.
