**Duties**:
- In a developmental capacity, receives training and close supervision in the performance of duties and responsibilities as set forth in the position guide for the CYS Administrative Support Assistant, NF-0303-03.
- Gradually assumes more responsibility and learns to perform the full scope of the duties required of the position.
- Completes a prescribed agenda of formal/informal classroom and on-the-job training and self-development as set forth in the individual Training Development Plan.
- Non-competitive promotion of the incumbent of this position may be effected after one year of satisfactory performance.
- Works in one or more Child and Youth Services locations including facilities, programs, and/or administrative offices. Receives children, youth, parents, and other visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
- A one year probationary period may be required
- Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty

- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15.m., and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation is required.
- Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
- Successful completion of training requirements and demonstrated on the job competency is required.
- Travel to on and off post locations required.
- In consideration of COVID-19, personnel within this area routinely wear personal protective equipment (cloth face coverings, latex gloves, and face shields) while performing their regular duties.

Experience working in a professional office setting which required administrative and clerical skill in managing filing systems and maintaining documents, such as attendance records and official correspondence. Must possess experience demonstrating customer service and business communication skills. Must possess a demonstrated knowledge of correct grammar and composition techniques needed to accurately prepare written material from a variety of sources.
.At least 1 year experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NF-02.
Selection can be made at NF-02 Developmental Level or NF-03 Full Performance.
