The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for an In Room Dining Waiter.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the In Room Dining Waiter will be part of a team of high-level professionals with a strong passion for F&B.

It is a seasonal, full-time contract role (40-hour working week).

**What you’ll be doing**
- Provide a curated in room dining experience
- Answer telephone and take orders using telephone etiquette and brand standards
- Coordinate delivery of items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
- Properly and accurately close guest checks
- Record guest preferences
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, and product availability, meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
- Inspect the cleanliness and presentation all china, glass, and silver prior to use
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and brand identity guidelines at all time

**What we’re looking for**
- You must possess the legal right to work in Italy. Valid work permit for full time role (40 hours/week).
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Understanding of F&B operations and luxury hospitality
- Positive outlook and outgoing personality
- Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented
- Understanding of luxury hospitality F&B operations
- Experience in the same role in fine dining restaurants would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Micros

This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also required. Prior to employment, we’ll ask you to complete safety training and certification.
