Join our team in Aman Venice. Set in Palazzo Papadopoli, one of the city's eight monumental palazzos on the Grand Canal, Aman Venice embodies all that is sumptuous and sensuous about La Serenissima. Rococo works of art are offset by the contemporary restraint of Jean-Michel Gathy interiors, while private gardens – rare in this floating city – are overlooked by opulent dining venues and spacious suites. Just a short walk away from Piazza San Marco, Aman Venice offers the perfect place from which to explore this romantic city, and to discover the hidden gems of the city while floating away on a traditional gondola.

ROLE
We are looking for a bright, dedicated professional who will be part of the F&B Team as a Chef de Rang, supporting the Restaurant team and satisfying all guest needs and exceeding their expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Serves meals to guests according to the rules of etiquette; prepares dining room and server stations to fulfill this function.
  • Satisfying guest needs and exceeding their expectations by projecting a positive hotel image through proper grooming, appropriate verbal communication, and taking responsibility of guest needs.
  • Knowledge of all menu items and accompanying silverware
  • Informing the kitchen of any special requests or needs (allergic to shellfish)
  • Recording and passing on any useful information to the host/hostess such as special occasions, etc
  • Know how to answer the phone and properly take a Private Dining order (also need to ask for turn down service during the PM shifts)
  • Communicate with other servers or back servers to see if they need any help
  • Keeping high personal grooming standards and maintaining a neat uniform
  • Assisting in the setup and breakdown of special events and functions
  • Completing opening & closing responsibilities

Qualifications

  • 2-year previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality sector
  • Need to be competent in the use of Micros
  • Knowledge of dining room and kitchen procedures helpful
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and grooming standard
  • Fluent in English and an additional language is considered a pluS
