Continuous Improvement Leader

**Role Summary**:
**PEOPLE & CULTURE**

Be the facility Lead Practitioner, coach, teacher, trainer and consultant in developing, supporting and leading CI culture within the site and across Flowserve as required

Facilitate CI actions and employee involvement teams throughout the platform / site and across all functional areas, in the pursuit of sustained beneficial change

Provide local leadership, coaching, and training in LEAN thinking, processes and production.

Ensure full engagement of the Management team to the plant CI Program, with support from CI & Quality Leader and Plant Manager.

Implement Train the Trainer approach and rapid, sustained implementation through “learn by doing methods”.

Focus teams on CI, by involving people in meeting productivity and site / platform objectives.

Coordinate CI Team and CI Project Leaders in order to successfully complete improvement projects

Engage people in auto-sustaining 6S approach to meet plant targets.

**Responsibilities & Requirements**:PROCESSES and TOOLS**

Facilitate improvement implementation through: employee teams, CI events, team improvement projects, LEAN Enterprise training workshops

Co-create, sustain, revise and measure progress on the Business Area CI Plan that contributes to the future state.

Ensure formal control and reporting of CI projects and initiatives thru local and Corporate tools and databases (e.g. FLS quest)

Teach, coach, and advise on the use of CIP tools: Lean tools (for example, Toyota Production System, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, theory of constraints), Six Sigma tools (for example, DMAIC project roadmap, gage R&R, statistical tools, designed experiments, control plans)

Fully embed disruptive transformation initiatives (Local and Corporate driven) into local CI Plan.

Identify opportunities to implement common processes and best practices from other facilities within Platforms and across Flowserve.

Disseminate and act upon relevant industry and corporate benchmarking data.

**CUSTOMERS and STAKEHOLDERS**

Coordinate with Management Team to continuously prioritize improvement initiatives to match business and Customer’s needs.

Support and coordinate with Manufacturing / Technology / Maintenance Teams to select, launch, drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to target Lead Time and productivity enhancements.

Support and coordinate with Quality and Customer Care Teams to continuously monitor Process/Product non-conformity and escapes to identify overall improvement needs and opportunities.

Support and coordinate with Planning, Supply Chain, Project Management, Engineering Teams to select, launch, drive improvement initiatives on the Transactional and Front-End processes, throughout the process full value chain

**Preferred Experience / Skills**:FINANCIALS**

In unison with the CI & Quality Leader, Plant Manager and Plant Controller, ensure that benefits related to CI initiatives are calculated according to corporate standards and are ultimately achieved within the targeted time span

Assure that planned improvements are implemented, measured, driven to closure and crossed to operating results.

Drive projects selection and prioritization to balance resources availability vs projects impact

Capture, prioritize and launch improvement initiatives throughout the full span of business processes.
