Maintenance Worker Helper Na-05

**Duties**:

- Assists in the maintenance and repair of building interiors and exteriors.
- Assists in the maintenance and repair of the grounds.
- Patches and paints walls, replaces faucet washers, light bulbs and fuses
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, and favorable completion of a Tier 1background investigation is required.
- PHYSICAL EFFORT: Frequently stands, stoops, bends, kneels, climbs, and works in tiring and uncomfortable positions. May carry equipment, tools or supplies weighing from 40 to 80 pounds.
- WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed inside and outside of buildings and is usually dusty, dirty and greasy. When outside, worker is exposed to extreme hot, cold, wet and dry conditions.
- The possibility of electrical shock, cuts, burns, and bruises exists. Wears safety equipment incidental to the position.

**Qualifications**:

- 1. Experience in performing duties as described and the ability to follow oral and written instructions involving those duties.
- 2. If the position requires the incumbent to operate a vehicle.
- 3. The incumbent must have a valid driver's license.
- SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Must have a working knowledge of wood working techniques and basic shop mathematics. Must be skilled in use and operation of common hand and power tools and measuring devices of the carpentry and painting trades to perform a variety of tasks. Must have a knowledge of standard surface preparation and coating methods and techniques. Must have ability to read and follow basic blueprints and sketches. If assigned to operate a motor vehicle, must have skills and knowledge to accomplish safe operation of vehicles operated.**Qualifying experience must be clearly described in resume. Failure to clearly describe qualifying experience in resume, may result in an ineligible rating or may affect the overall rating.**
