What you will do:

- Identify, analyse and negotiate solar and storage co-development opportunities
- Build on and take ownership for Elgin’s legal agreements (Development Service Agreement and Share Purchase Agreement), origination and development strategy
- Maintain constant communication with the development team, legal, and engineering teams as necessary to advance origination deals.
- Build and maintain key relationships with various co-developers, land introducers and consultants.
- Expand the pipeline of projects under development by selecting high-quality opportunities from a feasibility and economical point of view
- Engage proactively with Operations and Development in relation to Elgin’s project pipeline updates
- Continue to evolve and build existing knowledge and understanding of the renewable energy industry keeping a watching media, and networking through attendance at industry conferences where relevant or required.
- Assessment and presentation of energy policy updates, industry insights, key challenges, and changes in the marketplace
- Drive and promote the corporate values of Elgin within the workplace.

**Your profile**:

- To be fluent in Italian is essential.
- 5+ years of experience originating and closing solar and BESS co-development deals in Italy
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, business management, engineering or related discipline.
- Proven strong relationships within the energy industry in Italy
- Deep understanding of the renewables market in Italy
- Strong commercial mindset, initiative and self-motivation
- Problem-solving and a positive attitude, coupled with a high level of resilience
- Experience with the full development lifecycle is an advantage, as the role requires a ‘big picture’ thinker.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A 'positive can-do attitude'
- Some financial modelling experience is a good advantage
