Our Company’s Animal Health Technology Solutions division is the world leader in the design, development, manufacturing, and delivery of solutions for animal identification, monitoring and traceability. Our data-driven solutions are used by farmers, companies and countries to manage hundreds of millions of animals worldwide. By putting intelligent, actionable management information into farmers’ hands, our solutions empower them to act in a timely manner to safeguard their animals’ health and wellbeing, while achieving optimal production outcomes for a healthy food supply.
The BUD leads Technology Solutions employees in the implementation of the BU plan and the generation of revenues up to and exceeding target; liaises with key customers to ensure mutual business success and constantly maintains high customer-centricity.
The BUD is experienced in working with and influencing business partners in a global matrix environment. He or she is knowledgeable and practiced in all aspects of commercial planning and implementation, budget setting and management, sales management, and marketing markets. The BUD is a respected and experienced leader and people manager; a highly effective communicator who leads by example and is adept and agile in a complex environment, able to make rapid yet balanced decisions on key business issues.
The BU Technology Director reports to the Executive Director, Managing Director Italy, Greece, Cyprus & Malta. The position is physically located in Italy.
**Responsibilities**:
- Executes commercial plans and strategies including financial budgets across the product ranges in the BU. Drives sales accountability by setting ambitious sales targets and maximizes performance (Sales volume, market share and profit) within broad guidelines established by AH Divisional, Regional VP, and Exec Dir./GM;
- Partners with Global and Regional leadership in the matrix structure, to ensure effective and timely product marketing campaigns for the products within and across the cluster;
- Builds and leads effective teams of commercial professionals, exploiting opportunities across geographic boundaries for product sales, technical support, and problem resolution;
- Influences Regional level management in creating and delivering successful business plans and product strategies for the products. Builds effective and mutually beneficial relationships with key customers including key accounts and buying groups;
- Participates in the creation of (and leads) the implementation of business plans across the cluster. Responsible for making rapid and disciplined operational decisions impacting on the technology solutions business within the scope of the business plan;
- Responsible for rapid operational problem resolution; is the local point for customer-critical issues in the cluster related to product supply, pricing and problem resolution.
**Qualifications**
**Education and Minimum Requirements**:
- Master’s Degree Science/ Veterinary Science/Business/Technology;
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a senior people management position with substantial experience working in a highly matrixed network and in a role with significant P&L responsibility;
- Minimum 10 years of commercial experience in Pharma / Biotech/Food Tech/Agriculture industry but not necessarily entirely within Animal Health.
**Required Experience and Skills**:
- Perhaps specify sales management experience;
- English as strong second language with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills;
- Ability to influence and manage in a matrix organization and across differing business, cultural and regulatory environments;
- Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving skill;
- Ability to work under pressure and be a change agent within the company;
- Proven track-record in adherence to Company compliance policies and procedures;
- Unquestionable ethics and integrity.
