Job Description
As a Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) at Infineon, you will take on a lead role within our Sales, Marketing, and Distribution (SMD) team in Italy. Serving as the most experienced technical expert for key automotive customers, you will drive demand creation by supporting their development of modern electronic systems with Infineon's full range of product solutions. From system design and evaluation to on-site validation, you will collaborate closely with customers and cross-functional teams as well as with Infineon's product lines to deliver innovative solutions, foster design wins, and shape future automotive applications.

In your new role you will:

• Support customers in the development of modern electronic systems (EEA/SDV/ECU) and their implementation in the automotive market
• Be the first-level technical contact for our key Italian automotive customers, with a focus on the automotive application landscape, placing all types of Infineon products
• Drive and orchestrate design-in and support design wins
• Work proactively on innovative solutions for our customers' applications in collaboration with the entire European FAE Team, Account Management, product experts, and different business lines
• Be the expert for Infineon product solutions, support our customers in their system design phase, and during the evaluation of our products
• Understand and translate customers' application and product requirements to foster future Infineon products
• Validate the application on-site together with the customer
• Prepare and execute customer presentations and product/application training

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Information Technology, or similar fields
• At least 7 + years of professional experience within the semiconductor and automotive market
• Specific knowledge about analog products from sensors to low and high-voltage power products
• Experience in hardware development and development tools like PSpice and thermal simulations
• Specific knowledge about Automotive Applications and Electronic Systems
• Experience in giving technical guidance and mentoring others
• Proven business impact generation in own field of work
• Good analytical skills and a strong ability to solve technical problems
• Openness to regular business travels in Italy and other European destinations from time to time
• Excellent Italian and English communication and presentation skills
