We're looking for a talented and experienced Senior Lighting Designer to join our team at LightScene Studio, lighting design firm based in Milan. The candidate should be a highly professional individual with exceptional organizational and time-management skills. They must be resourceful, conscientious, and dedicated to their work, with a strong attention to detail. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in lighting design, with a strong understanding of the field across different project types
  • A proven ability to lead and direct a team of lighting professionals
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and 3D modeling software
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and MS Office
  • Excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A deep appreciation for design communication and the ability to translate concepts into reality
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects effectively

Responsibilities:

  • Completing all phases of lighting design projects, from initial conception to final execution
  • Provide guidance and reviewing to junior lighting designers and interns
  • Develop creative lighting solutions that meet client briefs, budgets, and standards
  • Participate clients and the design team meeting, potentially involving travel
  • Conduct technical tasks such as lighting calculations, research fixture options, review samples, and build mockups
  • Manage lighting design documentation, including CAD layouts, lighting details, fixture schedules, and control specifications
  • Preparing the project presentation
  • Plan and execute lighting mockups as needed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Analyze cost estimates and adjust designs to meet budgetary constraints
  • Monitor construction progress, issue field reports, and oversee the final installation and programming of lighting systems
