Our Experience
CESI has got decades of experience in consultancy services related to Static and Dynamic Monitoring Systems aimed to know the time history development of structures, infrastructures and territories. In this context CESI Consulting Division offering includes conventional services, as design and installation of new monitoring systems, maintenance and surveillance assistance in operation phase, and innovative technological services. In the last 30 years CESI has implemented and upgraded specific software tools, to collect and manage the acquired data from the monitoring systems, always oriented to introduce advanced methodologies in the monitoring systems projects. All these activities are leveraged on the active and continuous participation of CESI personnel to the main scientific and technological national committees and international working groups, in addition to the daily effort to stay on the functional and technological leading edges.

Team and location
As Monitoring Systems Product Leader, the candidate will be responsible of the CESI activities devoted to Static and Dynamic Monitoring Systems, that assists the final clients, typically dams, architectural heritage monuments, civil infrastructures, high hydrogeological risk areas Owners/Responsible, in design and installation of new monitoring systems, maintenance and surveillance in operation phase, and innovative technological services as implementation of new functionality specification and / or new data managing systems, etc. After a first period of integration and training, the activity will be done mainly in the CESI Office of Seriate, where there are the Research & Development laboratories and the Centralized Monitoring Data Room. Furthermore, the role could require periods out of the office (Italy and abroad), both on-site and at Client premises, for meetings and operative activities.

Job Description
As Product Leader the candidate will be responsible for the Technical Quality of projects reports as well as of tender proposals, and therefore also of the Business Development of the Monitoring Systems Product. The candidate will be called to contribute in different phases of monitoring systems projects, devoted to CESI Clients, eventually starting from an initial assessment and gap analysis of the existing monitoring infrastructures, as well as of the applications and platforms operated by the owners of the infrastructures, passing through conceptual and definitive design, detailed functional specification, support to tendering process or overall owner's or engineering activity, including detailed design review and participation to installation and final technical testing phases. The candidate will take the responsibility for the organization of the experts allocated to the monitoring systems product activities (design, maintenance and surveillance), as well as for the coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the activities assuring timely/quality deliveries to the Clients.

What Cesi Is Looking For
Education Level and Certifications

• Master Degree preferably in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (with high degree score)
• Registration in the professional register for signing projects
• Professional courses and habilitations in monitoring systems will be considered a plus.

Expertise

• Instrumentation for structural and / or hydrogeological monitoring (including knowledges of instrumentation with an innovative operating principle such as fiber optic sensors)
• Design of systems for remote data acquisition, management and transmission
• Implementation of new instrumental and electrical diagrams and/or development of existing diagrams gap analysis
• Implementation, design and deep knowledge of Hardware and software technologies for telecommunications
• Implementation, design and deep knowledge of telecommunications networks and of sensor networks for environmental and structural monitoring applications
• Deep knowledge of innovative monitoring technologies (e.g.: IoT techniques, Crowd Counting techniques, satellite monitoring technologies e.g. GNSS / InSAR, OBIA - Object Based Image Analysis technologies)
• Knowledge of the characteristics required for electro-mechanical works and auxiliary civil works needed in the context of a monitoring system construction, in both structural and hydrogeological fields
• GIS knowledge will be considered a plus.

Years of Experience at least 15 years

Languages Italian, English. Fluency in English is required. The knowledge of Spanish will be considered a plus.
