About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on
Product Owner
to drive execution and continuous improvement across our
Portfolio Management System (PMS)
and
Loan Management System (PCM)
- core components of Cardo AI's mission to digitize and optimize private credit and structured finance.

This is a high-impact role that sits at the intersection of
loan-level execution
and
portfolio-level intelligence
, with a particular focus on
Asset-Backed Finance (ABF)
transactions.

You'll start by managing backlogs and delivering features across cross-functional squads. Over time, you'll grow into a
strategic product leadership role
, taking ownership of long-term product vision, strategy definition, and platform-level priorities across multiple products and their connection to Cardo's ABF ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the product backlog
• Collaborate closely with engineers and solution engineers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Write clear, testable user stories with acceptance criteria for both new features and enhancements.
• Prioritize development tickets based on business value, effort, and dependencies.
• Work closely with Sales, Solution Engineers, Head of Product and Product Manager to translate client feedback, user behavior, and business strategy into product increments.
• Support UAT, documentation, and client rollout processes.
• Coordinate with customer success and integration teams to address gaps or new requirements.
• Collect feedback from internal stakeholders and clients to refine product functionality.
• Partner with Customer Success to drive adoption of newly released features.

Day KPIs First 30 Days – Ramp Up & Context

• Complete onboarding, with deep dives into PMS, PCM, ABF Manager, and integration workflows.
• Shadow client calls or workshops.
• Document key dependencies and workflow overlaps between PMS and PCM.
• Own and deliver 1–2 minor product tickets to understand delivery flow.

Next 60 Days – Execution & Ownership

• Take full ownership of a backlog vertical (e.g., payment schedule logic or compliance workflows).
• Write 10+ user stories tied to ABF or loan/facility monitoring features.
• Coordinate with integration and QA teams for validation and rollout of features.
• Start contributing to feedback sessions, sprint retros, and discovery calls.

By 90 Days – Impact & Velocity

• Deliver a cross-product features (e.g., borrowing base linked to capital call).
• Lead a demo for a client or internal audience showcasing a feature flow.
• Analyze adoption metrics or internal usage for one key feature and propose improvements.
• Draft a first proposal for roadmap priorities or enhancements for Q2–Q3 based on insights gathered.

Growth Path: Strategic Product Leadership

We are hiring for potential as much as for present execution. As part of your progression:

• You'll grow into a Product Manager capable of setting product vision and strategy for either PMS, PCM, or their combined ecosystem.
• You'll collaborate directly with the Head of Product to define OKRs, drive roadmap prioritization, and articulate platform narratives for internal and external stakeholders.
• You'll be expected to become a thought partner to engineering, client success, and GTM teams balancing technical feasibility, user value, and business impact.

Your Profile :Must-Haves:

• 3/5 years in Asset Management, Direct Lending, or Investment Banking.
• Understanding of financial products, especially in
  private credit
  ,
  loan management
  ,
  portfolio analytics
  and Asset Based Finance.
• Experience delivering complex projects.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams with competing priorities.

Nice to Haves:

• Exposure to SaaS platforms in structured finance or financial services.
• Basic data skills (Excel, SQL).
• Familiarity with Private Credit transactions, Asset Managers Investment Structures or Operations.
