Posizione:

We are looking for a
Model Lab Assistant
to join the internal Model Making and Prototyping Lab, supporting design teams in the production of physical models and prototypes throughout all project phases. The role combines
digital fabrication, model making, and hands-on craftsmanship
, working closely with architects, designers, and the Design Technology department.

The role will include a range of activities such as:

  • Supporting the production of architectural physical models at different scales
  • Operating and maintaining 3D printing equipment and managing print workflows
  • Preparing and optimizing digital files for fabrication (3D printing, CNC, laser cutting where applicable)
  • Developing digital models for physical production using Inventor, Rhino, and Revit
  • Assisting in the assembly, finishing, and refinement of physical models
  • Collaborating with project teams to translate design intent into physical representations
  • Managing materials, tools, and basic lab organization
  • Supporting experimentation and prototyping activities within the model lab

Requisiti:

  • Proven knowledge of 3D printing technologies and workflows
  • Good working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor
  • Good working knowledge of Rhinoceros (Rhino)
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Revit
  • Excellent manual skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work accurately on physical models and prototypes
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)

Please note that the listed requirements are not mandatory.

Previous experience in architectural model making, prototyping labs, or similar environments will be considered a strong advantage.

Software & Tools:

  • Autodesk Inventor
  • Rhinoceros (Rhino)
  • Autodesk Revit
  • Slicing software for 3D printing
  • Additional digital fabrication tools are a plus
