For decades, Western companies went to China to manufacture. Today, they go to learn and scout innovations. From advanced robotics to green energy storage, the world's most aggressive "Real-World Lab" is operating in Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Shanghai. But for most this ecosystem remains a black box.

That is where you come in.

This is a full-time on-site role for an Innovation Analyst based in Milan with frequent travelling to Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Shanghai.

. We identify validated technologies in China and integrate them into the R&D pipelines of Europe's leading corporations.

You will own the engine of our
"Brief to PoC"
service. You will not just be an observer; you will be a scout. Your job is to translate a client's innovation headache into a concrete Chinese solution.

What you will actually do:

• Client Needs Analysis:
  You will start every project by deeply understanding the client's problem. You will interface with European R&D and Open Innovation teams to collect requirements and turn abstract "pain points" into precise technical search parameters.
• Proactive Startup Scouting:
  You will lead the hunt for "Little Giants." You will monitor deal flows, funding rounds, and patent filings to identify emerging players before they hit the mainstream news.
• Network-Driven Scouting:
  You won't rely on Google. You will activate our team on the ground and our network of
  incubators, accelerators, VCs, and institutions
  to uncover high-potential solutions invisible to outsiders.
• Technical Vetting (TRL Assessment):
  You will assess technologies not just on promise, but on
  Technology Readiness Level (TRL)
  . Is this a lab prototype or a battle-tested solution running in 50 factories?
• The "Translation" Gap:
  You will translate complex technical specifications from Chinese engineering teams into clear, actionable business cases for C-Suite executives.
• Due Diligence:
  You will work with our legal partners to perform preliminary IP and compliance checks, ensuring the technology is safe for Western integration.

Qualifications

We are looking for a hybrid mind: the curiosity of a journalist, the rigor of an engineer, and the strategic view of a consultant.

• The Experience:
  You have 1 to 5 years of experience in Incubators, Accelerators, Open Innovation, VC, or Tech Transfer. You understand how a startup ecosystem functions and how to evaluate early-stage technology.
• The Background:
  Bachelor's degree in
  Business, Economics, or STEM fields
  . A background in Engineering or hard sciences is a distinct advantage for understanding technical specs.
• The Analyst's Eye:
  You can spot the difference between a PR stunt and a genuine technological breakthrough. You are comfortable interpreting data to generate insights.
• The Bridge:
  You have excellent communication skills, capable of presenting findings clearly to senior management. You thrive in cross-cultural environments.
• The Language:
  Fluency in
  English is required
  . Fluency in
  Mandarin Chinese is strongly preferred
  but not required (ability to read technical documentation and scout local platforms is a massive asset).
