Temporary Production & Operations Setup Manager - Industrial Automation / Robotics Sector

For one of our clients, a leader in the Industrial Automation/ Robotic sector, we are looking for
Temporary Production & Operations Setup Manager

Your Tasks

  • Set up production processes, assembly flows, workstation methods, and SOPs.
  • Define plant layout and supervise machinery installation.
  • Create the warehouse management model, codification, and traceability.
  • Structure the industrial BOM and procurement flows.
  • Lead supplier scouting and qualification, ensuring technical and contractual compliance.
  • Implement quality checkpoints (incoming, in‑process, final).
  • Deploy KPIs, reporting tools, and dashboards.
  • Support ERP/MES definition and initial configuration.
  • Ensure complete technical and process documentation.
  • Train and transfer ownership to the internal team.

Technical Skills

  • 10+ years in production, operations, or industrialization in mechatronics or automation.
  • Proven experience in setting up production systems from zero.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, DFM/DFT, and traceability.
  • Experience with BOM, ERP/MES, and supplier qualification.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and relevant industrial standards.

Education

  • Degree in Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.

Other Information

  • Duration: 6–8 months or more.
  • Engagement: part‑time or full‑time.
  • Fluent in:
    English (B2 or above)
  • Work locations:
    Bologna, Italy – nearby production site
