Temporary Production & Operations Setup Manager - Industrial Automation / Robotics SectorYour new companyHays Solutions, part of the multinational Hays Group listed on the London Stock Exchange, provides consulting services in Engineering and IT, with the goal of contributing to the success and technological progress of people and organizations.For one of our clients, a leader in the Industrial Automation/ Robotic sector, we are looking for Temporary Production & Operations Setup Manager Your TasksSet up production processes, assembly flows, workstation methods, and SOPs.Define plant layout and supervise machinery installation.Create the warehouse management model, codification, and traceability.Structure the industrial BOM and procurement flows.Lead supplier scouting and qualification, ensuring technical and contractual compliance.Implement quality checkpoints (incoming, in‐process, final).Deploy KPIs, reporting tools, and dashboards.Support ERP/MES definition and initial configuration.Ensure complete technical and process documentation.Train and transfer ownership to the internal team.Technical Skills10+ years in production, operations, or industrialization in mechatronics or automation.Proven experience in setting up production systems from zero.Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, DFM/DFT, and traceability.Experience with BOM, ERP/MES, and supplier qualification.Familiarity with ISO 9001 and relevant industrial standards.EducationDegree in Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.Other InformationDuration: 6–8 months or moreEngagement: part‐time or full‐timeThe role is available in freelance/contract modeFluent in: English (B2 or above)Work locations: Bologna, Italy – nearby production site How to applyAll candidates, regardless of gender, after reviewing the mandatory privacy notice on the website www.hays-itservices.it, are invited to send their CV in Word format.
