What we're looking for

As our data virtuoso, you'll be the maestro orchestrating symphony-like data architectures that harmonize Snowflake's power with the precision of Hightouch. You'll immerse yourself in client discovery sessions, uncovering their unique data narratives and crafting bespoke sales pitches that resonate. But your artistry doesn't stop there—you'll be the guiding light for our data engineers, empowering them to breathe life into these transformative solutions.

Responsibilities

- Client Engagement and Discovery: Lead discovery sessions, understanding client needs and pain points. Craft persuasive sales pitches tailored to client goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.

- Data Architecture Design: Design data architectures that integrate Hightouch in a wider Martech stack. Develop comprehensive data models to support client requirements.

- Technology and Tool Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate data technologies and tools.

- Implementation and Optimization: Guide data engineers in bringing solutions to life. Optimize data pipelines for performance and efficiency.

- Data Analysis and Storytelling: Conduct in-depth data analysis to uncover trends and insights. Translate complex data into clear, impactful stories.

- Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Set and maintain data engineering standards. Mentor and guide junior team members.

- Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends. Proactively identify opportunities for innovation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 8+ years in data architecture or solution architecture roles focused on data platforms, including at least 5 years in a technical leadership capacity.​​

- Strong hands-on experience with Hightouch, including designing and operating reverse ETL syncs, modelling sources, and optimising performance and observability.​​

- Proven track record designing and implementing architectures that integrate a cloud data warehouse (preferably Snowflake) with martech tools such as Braze, and other customer engagement or analytics platforms.​​

- Extensive experience in data modelling, building and tuning data pipelines, and working with modern data integration tooling.​

- Strong coding skills in relevant languages (e.g. SQL, Python) and comfort working with version control, CI/CD and modern engineering practices.​

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading discovery workshops and turning requirements into robust technical designs.​

- Experience mentoring and guiding engineers or consultants, ideally in an agency or consulting environment with multiple concurrent client engagements.

- Ability and willingness to travel to client locations.

Desirable: 

- Certifications in data architecture, Snowflake, or relevant CDP / martech platforms.​

- Familiarity with tools such as Amplitude, GA4, Braze and marketing automation platforms, and how they fit into a composable CDP / warehouse-native architecture.​​

- Understanding of data security, privacy and compliance considerations in customer data and marketing use cases.​​

- Experience crafting and delivering data-driven pitches and presentations, and leading training sessions or workshops for technical and non-technical audiences.
