Zygo Corporation is looking for an experienced and result-orientated Sales Manager to drive our growth across multiple markets. The position is ideally located at AMETEK Srl headquarters near Milan, Italy.  This individual is responsible for strategic sales growth in Italy and the position reports to the Regional Sales Director - Europe.As a key member of the company's sales leadership team, the Sales Manager regularly partners with business leadership to create and execute strategy, develop growth plans and budgets, provide sales forecasts for operational and financial planning.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop a strategic plan to deliver strong growth across all related markets in Italy and products that delivers consistent profitable growthManage both direct and indirect sales channels (as needed) to develop and execute localized tactical plans to deliver growth in excess of national GDP growth.Manage pricing and discounting to balance growth and achieve profitable growth.Champion Key Account relationships within key marketsCombine technical and application background with active sales performance.Manage and coordinate work with European Application/ Service Engineer to ensure that World Class Customer Service level is delivered coupled with strong revenue growthWork closely with the Metrology Division to develop sales strategies that deliver growth for all product linesWork with European based Marcom team to develop an Italian communications strategy to grow leads >10% / annum through multiple channels including websites, SEO, Social Media, print media, tradeshows, seminars, webinars, etc.Report and provide formal feedback to Zygo management on performance within the regionREQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATIONExperience 3-5 yrs in sales with technical background for high tech product (capex), in the Electronics, Semiconductor, Optics, Defense & Space, and automotive industry Background within a technical specialty preferred Engineering Qualification (bachelor's degree)Metrology and application experience within Optics, Defense, Space and/or automotive market an advantageStrong ability to communicate to sales, engineering, operations and management teams on all levels (internal and external)Excellent written, verbal English and Italian skillsKnowledge and experience implementing best sales practices and toolsDemonstrate flexibility, tenacity and drive in delivering objectivesBe comfortable with travelling - up to 40%Zygo Corporation is a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced optical metrology systems and ultra-precise optical components and assemblies.
