Descrizione del lavoro:

The Leader, Business Development, Automation & Integration drives opportunity creation and advancement within an assigned region by identifying, shaping, and positioning automation and integration solutions that align with customer needs and BW Packaging's capabilities. This leader strengthens commercial partnership, connects insight with execution, and positions BW Packaging for sustained growth in automation and integration.

Working cross functionally, the role links customer opportunity with organizational capability by clarifying needs, defining scope, and aligning delivery readiness. The leader improves the quality, speed, and structure of opportunity development within the region.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Opportunity Leadership

  • Identify and develop automation and integration opportunities in collaboration with Commercial and account teams.

  • Engage early with customers to uncover operational needs and translate them into clear opportunity framing.

  • Define scope, assumptions, and delivery expectations that align customer priorities with technical feasibility.

  • Shape proposals that strengthen BW Packaging's position as a trusted partner in automation and integration.

  • Represent BW Packaging in customer meetings, presentations, and strategic planning discussions.

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Collaborate with estimating, controls, and project teams to validate scope and ensure commercial accuracy.

  • Coordinate with regional sales and account leaders to align priorities, share insights, and streamline opportunity progression.

  • Surface trends and feedback from assigned region to inform global strategy and continuous improvement.

Commercial Enablement & Growth Systems

  • Lead initiatives to improve how automation and integration opportunities are qualified, documented, and transitioned to execution.

  • Develop tools, templates, and materials that enhance visibility, structure, and clarity in business-development activity.

  • Strengthen collaboration between commercial, product, operations, and technical teams through shared routines, transparent communication, and common goals.

  • Advance systems and disciplines that promote pipeline visibility, forecast accuracy, and customer confidence.

Strategic Impact

  • Accelerate BW Packaging's automation and integration growth across through strong customer relationships and structured opportunity management.

  • Improve the effectiveness and consistency of business development across key accounts and solution areas.

  • Translate customer and market insight into actionable direction for the Automation & Integration organization.

  • Expand BW Packaging's credibility and visibility with customers pursuing automation-enabled packaging strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in business development, technical sales, or applications engineering within packaging, automation, or capital equipment sectors.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align customer priorities with BW Packaging's technical and delivery capabilities.

  • Proven ability to shape opportunities and coordinate across functions to align technical and commercial objectives.

  • Skilled in customer engagement, proposal framing, and opportunity qualification.

  • Exceptional communication, organization, and relationship building abilities.

  • Flexibility to take on evolving responsibilities in response to strategic priorities and business needs.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with a technical or engineering background helpful
