Position Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the day-to-day sales management efforts for the assigned states within the Italy, Middle East, Scandinavia, UK and Ireland region.  They are responsible for managing Dynisco's direct and channel sales efforts for pressure and temperature sensors, and viscosity market sectors for the plastics and general industrial market. The Regional Sales Manager will work closely with Head of Sales EMEA to recruit, hire, train and evaluate, develop, and recruit agents, distributors and channels throughout the territory.  They will also use their skills to develop and maintain strong relationships with the customer base and develop strategies to meet Dynisco strategic growth plans.    

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
(For assigned Selling Region)

  • Directly responsible for meeting the established sales budget for new order bookings and revenue at acceptable gross margins within the region.
  • Develop sales channels within the region that are capable of sustained and profitable growth.
  • Develop proper sales metrics, strategies and programs to ensure their distribution team meets the required budgets and business development growth goals.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts of expected business results to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers within the region and with all sales channel partners.
  • Manage sales channel partners' activities to drive profitability within the region.
  • Provide commercial and technical leadership within the region for Dynisco Plastics and Industrial Segments
  • Coordinate all regional training and marketing activities, including analysis of sales statistics within the region.
  • Provide recommendations for stocking levels required to support sales growth within the region.
  • Make field sales calls with local agents to evaluate and monitor results.
  • Coordinate the sales activities and strategies of the business within the region as necessary.
  • Work effectively with peers within the business to manage the growth and flow of business.

  • Establish and manage themselves and channel partner contracts In-line with corporate compliance guidelines.

Technical & Management Skills:

  • Experience selling technical products in a B2B environment and the ability to learn about and promote technical products.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, operation manuals etc…
  • Proficient in business-based software: CRM, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP

Key Performance Metrics

  • Sales Growth Performance vs. Plan Objectives
  • Gross Margin and Contribution Margin Performance vs. Plan Objectives
  • Provide updated monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasts for the assigned selling region.
  • Quote to Order Conversion Rates
  • Deployment and Utilization of CRM for pipeline for prospecting and managing selling stages.

Commercial Skills:

  • Must be fluent in speaking Italian and English (other language a plus)
  • Ability to understand and adapt to local customers within selling region.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with various customer disciplines and other sales professionals, senior management, and internal peers in a highly cooperative manner.
  • Strong ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.
  • Proven experience in sales, particularly in the plastics extrusion market or related industries.
  • Strong technical knowledge of extrusion processes, equipment, and applications in plastic
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex system quote requests to ensure proper product fits the application.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel from 50-75% of the time within region.
