Responsibilities:

  • Underwriting of surety risks in line with agreed strategy and personal authority limits.
  • Review and agreement of legal documents (such as bond forms, security documents, contracts and other agreements).
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients. Liaise effectively with clients and brokers.
  • Gather relevant and sufficient information both financial and other, to assess financial strength of existing and potential clients.
  • Researching the internet and other media to find relevant and up to date information.
  • Analyse information gained from various sources to add to reports.
  • Assist in internal and external meetings as required.
  • Be able to provide explanation and reasons for decisions made.
  • Create and present reports as required.
  • Maintain company records and databases.
  • Identify and escalate any potential risks.
  • Assist with market and product development.
  • Other reasonable duties as instructed by the Senior Underwriter/Head of Department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  •  Fluency in both Italian and English is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and brokers.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis and contract review.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with a client-focused approach.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in standard IT tools and systems.
