For one of its clients, ExpHire is seeking an ambitious Head of Business Development/Sales with a solid track record in sales and account management roles, preferably with experience in SaaS businesses.

Our client offers a SaaS solution, based on cutting edge proprietary AI technology, that allows brands to reach out to their end customers in an innovative way while building trust and enabling circular business models. After becoming the leaders in its segment the company has been recently acquired by a Silicon Valley tech giant and is now ready for global expansion, so you will benefit from the advantages of being both part of a dynamic scaleup and an extraordinarily successful global corporation. The company is now setting itself up for accelerated growth by adding top talents to the team and offers a highly competitive compensation packages composed of up to 100K base salary, up to 20% bonus, stock based incentives, a wide ranging welfare package and a full hybrid work culture (2-3 days in the Milan, Italy, office).

Responsibilities

The Head of Business Development/Sales reports directly to the GM and is expected to perform the following activities:

- Generate new sales and sign commercial partnerships to accelerate growth working on both inbound and outbound opportunities

- Define together with the top management a growth strategy and execution plan

- Set up the sales pipeline and KPIs. Achieve and exceed the defined goals

- Provide to the GM a weekly update on the growth results achieved

- Manage directly one sales resource and his performances and be ready to build and coordinate in the future a sales team

- Conduct directly the sales pitch with a consultative win-win approach

- Standing for dealing with different key senior stakeholders (including CEOs, CIOs, Brand/marketing directors, Digital directors)

- Collaborate with marketing product, legal and finance departments, providing feedback and insights

- Represent the company at national and international trade events and fairs

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has the following experience and characteristics:

10 to 16 Years of total work experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Experience with selling a complex SaaS product by educating clients on its benefits

You are willing to work both on direct sales growth and on the overall business development strategy

You are able to define KPIs and sales targets and update the sales pipeline tools and the GM on progresses and achievements

You possess superb communication and presentation skills

You are a quick thinker able to come up with solutions and anticipate problems

You are able to extract meaningful insights to improve the business

Proven ability to communicate effectively and to create decks to present data and insights to an audience of senior stakeholders

Leadership skills and attitude (Lead by example, accountability, planning and execution, analytical mindset, etc.)

Knowledge at C1 level or above of the English language (the common language used in the company is English)

Soft skills like autonomy, proactivity, energy and drive, organization and ambition are a must

Furthermore are highly appreciated:

A previous work experience in an international context and/or in a tech scaleup environment is a plus

Existing portfolio of clients in the fashion/design/luxury industry

Previous experience in a Big4 company and/or in digital consultancy company

Worked for an Hybrid business/solution (with digital and real world elements)
