BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The Digital Governance Unit requires a short-term consultancy to manage solution architecture and the development of information automation applications predominantly on the Microsoft Power / SharePoint Platform. The consultant will work under the supervision of Executive Board Digital Governance Services Manager and will perform the following tasks:
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Research architect & develop solutions for information automation using Office 365 Platform.
2.
Support the building and management of a team of Technical Resources from the TEC Long Term Agreements with Microsoft Power Platform vendors – with the reviewing, vetting, and selection of talent from the LTAs.
3.
Bring up to speed and guide LTA talent in terms of WFP development standards to ensure continuous product improvement.
4.
Following a customer centric design, translate business requirements into technical requirements and implement via configuration and or development of features. Write detailed technical specifications ensuring traceability back to source requirements.
5.
Maintain technical documentation for quality, accuracy, and comprehensive coverage of functionality.
6.
Support EBS efforts in configuring Office 365 Teams/Sites and automation
7.
Maintain EBS configured Office 365 automations.
8.
Support the management of the EB Digital Platforms area as requested.
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:
1.
Properly designed, maintained and documented solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
University degree in an IT related field.
Experience:
Experience with the Knowledge and Skills requirements below are necessary. Familiarity with the Executive Board workflows is important and familiarity with WFP structure and operations and other UN experience is highly desirable, as is a positive and problem-solving outlook.
Knowledge & Skills:
Good knowledge of Office 365 Power Automate (Flow) and SharePoint is required as well as other O365 applications. The above duties require knowledge and information management skills, research skills, a methodical mindset, user centered design approach and client service attitude.
Languages:
The working language is English. Good knowledge of other UN languages is an asset.
