Position Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Lead – Italy to strengthen our growth in the Italian market through the expansion of our client base and technical consulting services.
This is a market-facing role that combines technical expertise in renewable energy projects (solar PV and BESS) with strategic business development skills. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background as Project Manager and/or Asset Manager, together with strong commercial acumen and the ability to build lasting relationships across the Italian renewable energy ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Italy, focusing on technical advisory, asset management and development support services.
- Map and engage key market stakeholders: developers, investors, lenders, and utilities.
- Build and maintain a strong professional network to detect market trends, policy developments, and client needs.
- Support the design of commercial strategies and service portfolios aligned with market demand.
Technical & Consulting Support
- Contribute technical expertise to client discussions, leveraging prior experience in project management and asset management.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, regulatory, and financial teams to develop integrated technical-commercial solutions.
- Provide input on process optimization and risk assessment for client portfolios.
Coordination & Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with the Global Head of Advisory and Global Head of Asset Management to ensure strategic alignment and operational consistency.
- Coordinate with Quintas Energy's asset management team to identify service opportunities and reinforce client relationships.
- Contribute to the development of internal knowledge sharing.

Education & Experience
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Industrial, Energy, or similar).
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the renewable energy sector, ideally in Project Management, Asset Management, or Technical Advisory.
- Proven understanding of business and project development, and operational management of solar PV assets in Italy.
- Experience in client-facing roles and proven ability to translate technical insight into business opportunities.
- Commercial mindset, negotiation skills, and comfort managing proposals and agreements.

- Excellent communication, networking, and influencing skills.
- Structured, proactive, and goal-oriented approach.
- Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoken).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary international team.
Desirable
- Experience in consulting or client advisory environments.
- Familiarity with contract negotiation and project financing processes.
