MISSIONS

Under
the direction of the Head of ECM 2,
the Product & Configuration Engineer will assume responsibility for the following tasks:

• Preparatory work to create, maintain and update maintenance programs
• Create or introduce initial maintenance files
• Update maintenance file on an ongoing basis
• Support during locomotive acceptance/handover incl. document check (ECM transfer).
• Configuration management of the locomotive (recording of series-produced components, country approvals, software versions)
• Release and monitoring of the implementation of the maintenance plans based on the maintenance documentation
• Creation and creation of lists of maintenance schedules in the computerized system (CMMS)
• Coordination with Sales and ECM 3 where the locomotive is to be used operationally
• Creation of the locomotive in the computerized system for preparation for ECM3
• Responsibility for the proper handling of maintenance in accordance with the state of the art and the relevant rules and regulations
• Monitoring the implementation of the maintenance programs on the basis of the maintenance documentation
• Collaboration in the monitoring of vehicles with regard to the necessary maintenance regulations, Recording and management of safety-critical components
• Participation in internal and external audits.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS

• Technical studies (Master / Bachelor) with focus on mechanical or electrical engineering or
• Technical training (technical draftsman, product design, technical model maker) or
• State-certified technician or (industrial) master craftsman.
• Sound knowledge of rail vehicle maintenance and/or experience in vehicle management as well as industry-specific procedures and rules (safety/quality management)
• Experience in the railroad sector either with rail vehicle manufacturing, operating or maintenance companies.
  
  Additional Knowledge & Skills
• Knowledge and experience in the design of maintenance programs for locomotives
• Knowledge of the DVO (EU) 2019/779
• Knowledge of process organization and optimization, as well as in approval law and EU regulations/directives.
• Several years of professional experience in the maintenance of traction units
• Experience around vehicle management with manufacturers or RUs
• Ability to work in a team
• High level of organizational talent, solution-oriented approach to work
• Safety-conscious, independent way of working
• Distinct analytical skills as well as economic thinking and acting
• Ability to communicate with other ECM functions and, if necessary, with customers (RUs) as well as other entities affected by maintenance development
• Hungarian language skills, both written and spoken (level C2)
• English language skills, both written and spoken (level B2).
