On behalf of our Client, Idorsia a global biopharmaceutical company, IQVIA is looking for a Commercial Excellence & Operations Associate Manager who can join an exciting working environment in a dynamic atmosphere.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Commercial Excellence & Operations Associate Manager supports the implementation of commercial processes, tools, and initiatives to enhance business performance. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT teams to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with commercial goals.
The Commercial Excellence & Operations Associate Manager contributes to support the implementation of practical, data-driven, and innovative initiatives that support sales growth and cost optimization.
The position holder will work cross-functionally with commercial leadership, Finance, Marketing and Sales as well as IT, GDPR, and other functions to propose relevant improvement on existing processes or develop new ways of working.
The Commercial Excellence & Operations Associate Manager supports the development of actionable recommendations by gathering and integrating insights from market research, competitive intelligence, analytics, forecasting, CRM data, digital tools, and Real-World Evidence. This role collaborates with in-country teams and contributes to the broader Business & Sales Operations network.
Main responsibilities include:
• Support commercial leadership (including the General Manager and external National Sales Director) by analyzing key metrics and market data to generate actionable insights. Contribute to the development of tools and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making (e.g., field KPIs, market performance, sales forecasting, business planning, digital and omnichannel initiatives).
• Assist with Sales Force operations, including territory alignment, sales force sizing, incentive tracking, and cycle objective calculations. Provide operational support for CRM and digital tools (e.g., Veeva CRM, Salesforce, REPs trigger emails, e-CVA), including basic troubleshooting and user support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the brand planning process by integrating insights from various data sources and contributing to the development of aligned, insight-driven brand strategies.
• Contribute to performance reviews by preparing and maintaining reports (e.g., Sales, Activity, S&OP, PMR), identifying trends, and highlighting key insights for internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external sales force providers to ensure alignment with internal objectives and support the execution of training programs and field force initiatives.
• Support local data and analytics activities, including the collection, validation, and interpretation of sales and activity data (internal, in-market, sell-in/sell-out), as well as primary and secondary insights. Assist in the implementation of Business Intelligence tools and methodologies.
• Assist in local supply chain coordination, helping to monitor product availability, manage risks, and ensure alignment with forecasted demand. Support communication with local stakeholders such as wholesalers and customers.
• Data steward (GDPR)
Ownership of data processing related to customer lists within CRM and online platform – ensure GDPR compliance and rules are applied
Coordinate with Veeva Open data to review email list with opt outs, compare/match with Idorsia CRM customer list and support DCR (Data Change request) process with Veeva Open data
Lead and initiate relevant actions (approval, rejection) up to communication via field force
REQUIREMENTS:
The Commercial Excellence & Operations Associate Manager – Italy is an early-career professional with initial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally within the primary care segment. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, a collaborative approach, and the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, science-driven environment.
In terms of key requirements, the following should be mentioned:
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree required, preferably in Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related quantitative fields.
• 1-3 years of experience in a Commercial Operations, Sales Analytics, or Finance role, ideally within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
• Exposure to data-driven environments and familiarity with commercial processes, performance tracking, or forecasting.
Experience:
• Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with departments such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Medical Affairs.
• Experience supporting budget tracking and supplier coordination, including administrative and operational follow-up.
• Digitally savvy, with familiarity in CRM systems (e.g., Veeva), Excel, and digital engagement tools.
• Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills, with the ability to visualize data and communicate insights clearly.
• Demonstrates structured thinking and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
• Exposure to AI-powered tools and analytics platforms (e.g., predictive models, automated dashboards, or generative AI) to support data-driven decision-making.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, with attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
TYPE OF CONTRACT:
Temporary contract, starting with 12 months contract.
