On behalf of one of the largest international confectionery companies, we are looking for an
Area Manager Export Sales
to join the Western Europe Partner Markets team based in Bologna.

Your Responsibilities

As
Area Manager Export Sales
, you will manage a group of Partner Markets, with a strong focus on
France.

  • Manage country strategy and ensure achievement of volume, revenue and margin targets.
  • Work closely with distributors: set annual objectives, align budgets and monitor execution.
  • Lead commercial activities including assortment, distribution, pricing, promotions and brand activation.
  • Support the onboarding and development of new distributors, especially in Spain and the Nordics.
  • Prepare sales plans, forecasts and monthly business reviews.
  • Conduct regular store checks to assess pricing, visibility and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate daily with internal teams
  • Travel regularly to markets — especially
    France once per month
    .

Your Profile

Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in Export Sales roles (Export Area Manager, Export Sales, International Sales).
  • Background in
    Food FMCG
    , ideally biscuits, confectionery or sweet snacks.

Languages

  • Fluent French
    (mandatory; ideally native-level or having lived/studied in France).
  • Excellent English
    required.

Technical Skills

  • Strong Excel proficiency.
  • Solid understanding of commercial and financial levers
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills.

Location:
Bologna, Italy

Travel:
up to 25–30% (mainly France)
