Profile Summary:

The Technical Compliance Engineer coordinates the deployment of strategic product compliance activities such as in plant verification, in field verification and regulatory campaigns monitoring according to all market areas requirements. Scope will include working closely with all impacted functions in product platform, development, production, quality and Legal to define requirements, monitor the execution of defined actions, support the resolution of non-conformities and maintain a customer-oriented approach. The candidate will also seek a due understanding of worldwide emission and compliance regulations, maintaining a continuous relationship with relevant Authorities and communicating with the rest of the Company in terms of functional guidance. The scope will include ensuring the functional groups are meeting requirements to support emission compliance of engines and equipment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Executive:

  • Coordinate and support functional groups (platforms, engineering, quality and plant) in maintaining product emission compliance according to all market areas requirements.
  • Support the data management, tracking, review and submission of engine and equipment compliance reports to regulatory authorities to foster product compliance as related to product in plant and in field control and emission regulatory recall campaigns.
  • Document and communicate to management the progress and open issues for current and future product regarding emission compliance.
  • Support the development and maintenance of worldwide emission compliance requirements, processes and procedures.
  • Support the implementation of systems, policies, and processes that promote organizational excellence and facilitate change through clear and actionable steps.
  • Maintain relationship with Authorities and support the delivery of expected reporting.
  • Document and review worldwide regulatory changes and functional requirements impacting current and future product.

Coordination and Monitoring:

  • Identify testing needs for in plant and in field programs according to worldwide regulatory and Authorities expectations.
  • Monitor due test plan execution by impacted functions and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Evaluate plan modification requests based on worldwide legal requirements, regulatory constraints and Authorities indications, to protect the Company from any product non-compliance risk.
  • In case of test failures, monitor the execution of all due actions for root cause identification and problem solution implementation by relevant functions to ensure clear, timely and open communication and effective problem solving.
  • In case of regulatory recall campaigns, monitor due execution and adequate reporting to relevant Authorities.

Other Important Responsibilities:

  • Cooperate with the Legal department when needed
  • Collaborate with all Regional Technical Compliance and Certification teams to ensure all due activities are executed to address non-conformities related communications.
  • Support relations and negotiation with Certification Authorities in case of issues providing relevant and accurate information.
  • Ensure that the customer-centric approach to certification is prioritized, fostered, and maintained.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum four years of relevant professional experience in product quality / compliance.
  • Remarkable project management skills.
  • Comfortable in building collective buy-in, complex project management, decision making, change management practices, cooperating with people from multiple departments.
  • Commitment to collaboration, integrity and transparency, building and supporting diverse and inclusive work environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform within deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
