Within the Sales Team of Electrification and Automation Business Unit Smart Infrastructure, we are looking for
Head of Sales focused on clients in the Energy-Intensive Market,
to be hired with a permanent contract in
Milan.

Your Challenge
As part of the Electrification and Automation Sales team, the
Head of Sales for the Energy-Intensive Market
will lead the vertical growth strategy in Italy.

This role combines business development, strategic planning, and team leadership, with a strong focus on clients in energy-intensive industries. We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Manager with solid leadership and technical skills to drive sales and guide a dedicated team. The position plays a key role in promoting products and services by leveraging technical and customer knowledge to deliver tailored solutions and generate revenue.

Some of the main activities will be to:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team dedicated to Energy-Intensive Customers (e.g., heavy industry, power generation, data centers), ensuring performance through KPIs and achievement of sales targets.
  • Define and execute commercial strategies to grow market share, manage strategic relationships with key clients, and promote innovative, integrated solutions in collaboration with internal functions.
  • Drive business development by managing complex opportunities with large customers or investors, leveraging cross-functional capabilities to deliver high-value, tailored solutions.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with complementary manufacturers, partners, or internal business units to co-develop solutions aligned with customer needs and market trends.
  • Conduct market research and monitor regulatory and legislative developments to identify opportunities and guide strategic planning.
  • Ensure consistent use of Salesforce and other reporting tools to track key sales metrics and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Technologies Relevant to the Role:

  • Medium and Low Voltage Power Distribution Systems (switchgear, protection devices)
  • Industrial Automation, SCADA, HV Sub Station
  • Decarbonization Technologies: solar inverters, energy storage systems, e-houses, IoT and Power Quality
  • Generator Circuit Breakers, Automation Products

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Energy, or Automation).
  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in the data center or related industries.
  • Previous experience in leading sales teams and managing commercial strategies.
  • Strategic mindset with commercial acumen and ability to design cross-functional solutions.
  • Fluent in Italian with professional proficiency in English.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and other sales reporting tools.
  • Eligible to work in Italy.
