Position OverviewWe're looking for a results-driven Agronomic & Erosion Control Specialist to support strategic growth across a defined territory. This role combines sales responsibilities with the expertise of a Line of Business Specialist in Agronomics and Erosion Control.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in agronomics and erosion control, providing technical guidance and product recommendations.
- Manage a book of business that includes both established and underpenetrated accounts.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and customer contacts.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory.
- Leverage internal resources and solution-selling techniques to support customer needs.
- Ensure customers are aware of and utilizing available programs, tools, and support services.
- Collaborate with store teams, specialists, and support staff to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Monitor account activity, report progress, and share outcomes.
- Resolve customer concerns by identifying issues and implementing solutions.
Work Environment & Travel:
This is a field-based sales role supporting customers across a defined territory. The ideal candidate will be comfortable:
- Traveling regularly to customer sites, job locations, and industry events within the territory.
- Working remotely from home to manage customer communications, prepare quotes, and follow up on leads.
- Collaborating in-person with local branch teams
This role offers a dynamic mix of independent work, customer-facing interactions, and team collaboration. Candidates should be self-motivated, organized, and able to manage their schedule effectively to meet customer needs and sales targets.
Skills We Are Seeking- Green Industry experience with an erosion focus REQUIRED
- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in account management or business development
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of sales cycle and solution selling techniques
- Proven approach to access decision makers at client organizations
- Ability to communicate value proposition and differentiate SiteOne's products and services using professional presentation and communication skills
- Ability to think quickly and make decisions
- Understanding of sales and operations planning processes, statistical demand forecasting and integration of supply and demand plan
- Agronomic related AAS degree or Turf Certificate from an accredited college preferred
