  • Open opportunity: Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist

X-ELIO is seeking a proactive and analytical Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist to join its team in Rome and play a key role in driving the financial performance of renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while collaborating across departments to ensure accurate accounting and insightful analysis.

What will you do?

  • Support the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor key financial KPIs related to renewable energy projects.
  • Manage projects in terms of economic and accounting progress, including WIP valuation.
  • Participate in the monthly closing process and reporting to the parent company.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and the preparation of required documentation.
  • Manage contract-related aspects in collaboration with legal and operational departments.
  • Contribute to the improvement of management control and accounting processes.

What do we need?

  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in similar roles, gained in leading advisory or audit firms (Big 4 is a plus).
  • In-depth knowledge of national (ITA GAAP) and international (IFRS) accounting principles.
  • Experience in project management and WIP valuation. Knowledge of project finance and M&A is a plus.
  • Skills in contract management, ideally in the energy or infrastructure sector.
  • Excellent command of Excel and main reporting tools, especially SAP.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Italian.
  • Strong problem-solving orientation and excellent organizational skills.
  • High sense of accountability and commitment to company goals.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and dynamic environments.
  • Proactive attitude and analytical approach.
