Specialist Solutions Architect, Containers, WWPS, US Federal Job ID: ******* | Amazon Web Services, Inc.Application deadline: Dec 8, ****.Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a global leader in cloud computing, providing IT infrastructure to a wide range of developers and organizations.AWS Worldwide Public Sector is seeking an AWS Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) for Container Services to help U.S. Federal customers design and deploy scalable, resilient container-based solutions.Key Job ResponsibilitiesHelp U.S. Federal Civilian Government organizations implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems.Own the technical engagement and ensure successful implementation projects.Define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, and develop deep expertise in AWS technologies.Represent the voice of the customer and bring feedback to product teams to influence future product roadmap.Provide advanced technical knowledge to GTM teams to unblock large and critical customer challenges.Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public speaking events.Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide and create field enablement materials.A Day in the LifeThe Solutions Architects on our team provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to the Federal Government.Typical activities include meeting with customers, collaborating with AWS technical product managers, building and testing demonstrations and proofs of concept, and writing technical content such as blog posts and papers.About the TeamThe US Federal Specialist Solutions Architecture Team consists of domain experts across Security, Networking, Hybrid Edge, Gen AI, Containers, and GovCloud, located across the U.S.The team supports the largest, most complex AWS customers and delivers thought leadership with deep AWS expertise.Basic Qualifications3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructure.5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industry.4+ years of specific technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).Preferred QualificationsExperience in software development or Internet-related industries.Migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.Working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.Intermediate/advanced knowledge of AWS services.5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking.5+ years of designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes environments at scale.Proven experience architecting containerized applications and microservices architectures.Strong background in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation using Kubernetes.Experience managing multiple Kubernetes clusters.Expertise in Kubernetes security, networking, and storage concepts.Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Helm) for Kubernetes deployments.Experience troubleshooting complex distributed systems and container-based applications.Experience within the Federal Government.Understanding of infrastructure and security requirements (FedRAMP Moderate/High, HIPAA, DoD SRG, CJIS, etc.).Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.Salary RangeColorado: $131,300 - $177,600 annually.National: $118,200 - $204,300 annually.Location: USA, VA – Virtual Location – Virginia.Amazon is an equal-opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, please visit for more information.Our benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription), Basic Life & AD&D insurance, Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.Learn more about our benefits at .#J-*****-Ljbffr
