Infrastructure Delivery Install Technician, Infrastructure Delivery Job ID: ******* | Amazon Data Services, Inc.AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running.We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Amazon is looking for a Infrastructure Delivery Installation Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations.You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.To be successful in this role you should possess technical aptitude, written and oral communications skills and the ability to deal effectively with people in a wide variety of situations.In addition, you must possess strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.You will be able to leverage your experience exercising high levels of initiative, judgment, and diplomacy.Key job responsibilities- Move and implement large enterprise equipment- Patch cabling between equipment- Install Fiber and Copper cabling- Ensure proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation- Follow well established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities- Ability to safely use material handling tools and equipment- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects- Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles- Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low level application interaction- Up to 20% travel within geographical work area is required.Some travel outside traditional work area may be requested, including internationally- Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords- Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment- Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware- Moving and lifting computer equipment up to 40 lbs- Availability to work in an environment that operates 24/7Physical Requirements- Walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch- Work at heights and from ladders- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds unassisted;
