About the Position AWS Infrastructure Services leads the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure.As a Data Center Technician you will be the primary resolver for a range of data center infrastructure issues, including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems.You will work in the Data Center Operations (DCO) team overseeing the operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and hardware for AWS data centers.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose hardware and network problems and perform physical repairs.Respond to events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and perform root-cause analysis of equipment failures.Manually handle and lift equipment (weight limits per regulations).Work rotating shifts (morning, late, night) and weekends to support the 24/7 data center environment.Engage other solution groups on more complex problems to drive resolution.Own and promote safety initiatives, maintaining the highest safety standards.Travel locally up to 10% of the time; requires a valid EU driving licence.RequirementsExperience in IT hardware troubleshooting.Completed formal education, apprenticeship, or training in an IT-related field.Basic knowledge of Linux and network protocols; experience in data center environments.B1 level proficiency in English.Preferred SkillsExperience with fiber optic installations.Knowledge of power and cooling systems.Strong safety awareness and a commitment to a world-class safety culture.Location & ScheduleThe position is 100% onsite in a data center located outside Milan, in a remote area where access via public transport is limited.Work is shift-based, covering morning, late, and night periods, including weekends.About AWSAWS is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform.We value diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning, and we offer mentorship and career-growth opportunities.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementAmazon is an equal-opportunity employer.We believe passionately that employing a diverse workforce is central to our success.We make recruiting decisions based on experience and skills, and we value your passion to discover, invent, simplify, and build.Protecting your privacy and the security of your data is a longstanding priority.For information about accommodations for the interview and hiring process, please visit our accessibility page.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation, please let us know.#J-*****-Ljbffr
