Location: Pistoia, Tuscany, Italy Job ID: R******* Profession (Job Category): OtherJob Schedule: Full timeRemote: NoAbout UsA career at Hitachi Rail will help create a legacy.With operations in every corner of the world our work goes to the cutting-edge of digital transformation and technology.From the multi-cultural strength of our global organisation to the sustainable and innovative ways we work to bring people together there's something for everyone to get stuck into.And that's where you come in.Job DescriptionHitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Bid Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment.The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.The position is based in Pistoia, Italy.AccountabilitiesLeading bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders across the business and working closely with the Sales ManagerSupporting the bid qualification process for new opportunitiesImplementing creative ideas and initiatives into bidsDriving the process of preparation of the commercial and technical aspects of the bid ensuring all services and deliverables are included in the final price to the customerManaging the written proposals or supporting documents both in terms of content and presentation for internal or customer presentationEnsuring adherence to quality process of bid submission to ensure the good quality of bid submission documents and that they are signed off with appropriate internal authorityManaging the bid preparation through the approval process and ensure conformance to company governance processesTracking risk and managing it throughout the bid processManaging bid budgets for the relevant bidsEnsuring timely delivery of technically, commercially and contractually compliant bids.Ensuring a smooth handover to the Project Management team when a bid has been securedCompetenciesGerman is mandatory, fluent in Italian and English is recommendedProven record in delivering winning multi-million Euro product or complex services opportunitiesIdeally has a background in rail industry and experience of bid campaign management from opportunity identification through to project delivery and will provide valuable input into opportunity qualification win strategies commercial discussions and solution designSound commercial understanding P&L and risk management skillsAbility to manage complex multi-workstream opportunitiesSolid understanding and implementation of internal governance proceduresAbility to develop strong constructive and focused relationships with internal and external stakeholdersAble to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesStrong problem solving skillsA high level of competence with Microsoft Office Suite excellent PowerPoint and Excel skillsRequired Skills / KnowledgeAbility and experience to work in an international environmentStress and deadline managementStakeholder management (internal and external)Ability to structure winning offersDesired Skills / KnowledgeEffective communication (written and oral)Problem solving and critical thinkingResult orientation and proactivityNegotiation skillsMarket vision and competitive analysisEducation / QualificationsEducated to degree level or equivalent level of experienceBachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or related field preferredLanguagesItalianGermanEnglishThank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.If your application meets our expectations we will be in contact.Please do not hesitate to discover more about us and our latest jobs at Hitachi Rail.We welcome and value differences in background, age, gender, sexuality, family status, disability, race, nationality, ethnicity, religion and worldview.It is our commitment to create an inclusive environment – we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.Employment Type: Full-time#J-*****-Ljbffr
