You will be also the contact person for agents and/or brokers working with the Marine Cargo team.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelinesSteer and control the portfolio at local level in conjunction with the Head of Marine Cargo to drive the achievement of financial targetsProactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end to end underwriting life cycleWork closely with Sales departments, Risk Consulting, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-sellingEnsure underwriting consistency, underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules and local regulatory frameworkProactively support the development and implementation of new and/or modified productsSupport the acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including agent and broker negotiations)Communicate local business strategy externallyKey Requirements/Skills/ExperienceMaster's degree in Economics3/5 years's proven experience in underwriting profitable Marine Cargo business for Corporate and Multinational clientsPreference if also experienced in Marine Hull and YachtProven leadership skillsExpertise in risk assessment and a firm understanding of policy administration life cycleSound knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skillsIdeally experience in designing, developing, and implementing consistent and robust wordingsIdeally experience in driving underwriting projectsEntrepreneurial mindsetStrong communication skillsAble to work in an international organizationFluent in English (both written and spoken)Very good knowledge in Office 365 and other collaborative toolsData AnalyticsAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
