Corinthia Rome is preparing to open its doors, bringing a new level of luxury hospitality to the heart of the Eternal City.As we build an exceptional Food & Beverage team, we are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Sommelier to elevate the guest experience through outstanding wine service and expert recommendations.If you have a refined palate, a deep knowledge of wine, and a genuine passion for hospitality, we'd love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:As Sommelier, you will be responsible for ensuring an impeccable wine experience throughout the guest journey, including:Supervising and managing wine service during restaurant operationsAdvising guests on food & wine pairings based on the menu and individual preferencesPerforming wine service according to the restaurant's operational standardsEnsuring proper wine storage and preservation (temperature control, rotation, stock management)Training and supporting the front-of-house team on service techniques and wine knowledgeCollaborating with the Restaurant Manager and Executive Chef to curate consistent and inspired pairingsContributing to the creation of tailored wine experiences such as tastings and pairing journeysMaintaining the highest standards of hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail RequirementsTo thrive in this role, you should have:Proven experience as a Sommelier in high-end or comparable dining environmentsStrong knowledge of oenology, viticulture, and professional wine service techniquesExcellent communication skills and a strong guest-service mindsetAbility to work collaboratively and coach/train team membersHigh attention to detail and a genuine sense of hospitalityFluency in Italian and English (additional languages are a plus)Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays Why Join Corinthia RomeThis is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting new opening and to help shape a wine programme and guest experience that reflect Corinthia's signature elegance and excellence.
