Regional Sales Manager - South Europe (f/m/d) Italy Edmund Optics® is a leading manufacturer and supplier of optics, imaging, and photonics technology.Edmund Optics' state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities combined with its global distribution network has earned it the position as being one of the largest suppliers of off-the-shelf optical components and a trusted partner when it comes to customised solutions.Supporting numerous markets around the globe, including advanced diagnostics, semiconductor & electronics, machine vision, automation, and R Edmund Optics products are used in a variety of applications ranging from DNA sequencing to retinal eye scanning to high-speed factory automation.Edmund Optics Europe, a US owned-group consisting of Edmund Optics subsidiaries in Germany, UK, Netherlands and France, is responsible for sales, marketing, distribution, engineering and application support for a wide product range throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.Europe is one of the main growth markets for Edmund Optics globally, leading to a rapidly expanding and developing local team.To accelerate our success and growth within the European market, Edmund Optics is looking for a Regional Sales Manager – South Europe.Essential FunctionsSupport and expand existing and potential new key account customers in South Europe (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece)Present the company and our products/solutions as well as developing business relationshipsIdentify customers' needs, requirements and potential for co-operationsProgress, develop and map customer relationships with key decision makers in purchasing, R&D, operations and managementCreate, negotiate and close out quotationsAct as a main point of contact between key clients and internal teamsIdentify trends and target markets within the region and work with European Sales and Marketing on localized strategiesRepresent Edmund Optics at local trade shows and optics conferencesContinuously document and follow-up contacts, opportunities pipeline, projects and offers leading to successful sales transactions including the respective reporting, including but not limited to forecastsInternal international communication with R&D, production, application, marketing and salesActively work on and manage inside sales opportunities and RFQs, either independently or with Solution Engineering or European EngineeringQualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Your profileUniversity degree (Diploma / Bachelor / Master / PhD) in either an optics related technical field or economicsMinimum 5 years' experience in the South European optics/photonics industry (knowledge of industry specific products, target markets and commercial positioning)Experience in outside sales and market knowledgeFluency in Italian and English, Spanish is a plusProficiency in MS Office, CRM and SAPExperienced in sales communications and negotiation skillsStrong communication and organizational skillsSelf-motivation and ability to work independentlyExcellent problem-solving skillsValid international driving licenceWillingness to travel frequently (in the region and occasionally internationally)What we offerA versatile and challenging position alongside a highly competitive employment package within our dynamic and successful corporation in a growing and future-proof industry.You will have the opportunity to work with highly motivated, self-driven and open-minded people with a great team spirit.This home-office based position will be located in Italy, ideally within the Florence-Milan-Venice area.Please send your application to [emailprotected].We are looking forward to your application#J-*****-Ljbffr
