This key role is focused on growing eBay business by maintaining and growing business relationships with clients, researching and identifying new business opportunities and cultivating relationships to generate new opportunities. Working collaboratively with the eBay team, you will create and develop existing relationships with local and global commercial partners as well as initiating and cultivating new ones.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:
- Support BD Manager: Develop and implement Marketing and Business Development (BD) plans. Define strategies to acquire and onboard key accounts. Act as a central point of contact for assigned initiatives, maintain project plans, timelines, and status reports.
- Lead Generation: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads, actively prospecting and nurturing relationships to generate business opportunities. Participate in fair events to identify and capture new prospects.
- Account Management: Proactively build and manage a pipeline, working with new and existing sellers in Italy across multiple industries. Effectively manage and coordinate the entire sellers onboarding cycle.
- Internal stakeholders engagement: Collaborate with a broad range of internal global and local European multi-disciplinary teams in various departments such as Categories, Marketing, Risk and Operations teams. Preparing internal reports and presenting to internal meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience (+3 years) in business development, sales, or related fields.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Business savvy with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Experience researching, prospecting, and cold calling into a large list of new and existing accounts
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A willingness to 'Be the customer' on eBay and a strong desire to help eBay win
- Excellent working knowledge of the eBay site and marketplace dynamics - experience buying or selling on eBay highly desirable.
- Fluency in Italian and English is essential
Type of contract offered:
fixed-term contract on a 12-month temporary contract basis.
