This position assists the Temple Recorder by ensuring that patrons coming to the temple receive friendly, courteous service and the ordinances they accomplish are recorded in accordance with temple procedures. Serves as a role model in fulfilling the Church’s religious mission with compassion toward others and an attitude of devotion to God, while performing tasks of an intermediate level of knowledge and judgment.

Handling complex/non-routine questions and problems, some of which may be by phone, and verifying living ordinance records, as needed. Offering support in the following areas in the clerical office: Family Search, living and immediate family records, records verification, and appointment desk. Monitoring temple recording functions and computer systems. Working Tuesday through Saturday with the ability to be flexible with morning, afternoon, and evening hours. Schedules may rotate. There may be cross training that will require you to work in various departments of the temple, including office administration, laundry and patron housing. Performing other administrative tasks, as assigned. High school and experience in position or specialization or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with computer systems, Family History, office administrative background or other related fields. Temple computer systems may be helpful. Ability to perform assignments broad in nature and usually require originality and critical thinking. May serve as a resource to others solving various problems and issues. Must be self-motivated and able to work with a diverse group of volunteers and employees in a close team environment and communicate effectively in Italian and English. Other languages may be helpful. Must be able to multi-task, be detail oriented, and have strong organizational skills. Ability to deal properly with confidential and sensitive information.
