Job Description Summary

The Aero Alliance Repair Development Product Manager will support new

repair development, working closely with GE Aerospace & Channels (Ge Vernova and Baker Hughes) engineering teams as well as other suppliers to identify, build the business case for and execute new Repair development to drive product cost out, improved turnaround time and other key outcomes for the Aero Alliance and its customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive Repair Development Strategy for Aero Alliance (50/50 joint venture between GE Power & Baker Hughes) for key product lines

  • Support creation and execution of Repair Multi-Generational Product Plan (MGPP) and New Product Introduction (NPI) for MRO expansion and Level 5 Component Repairs

  • Manage full business cases for repairs, including Engineering, P&E and any other related capital or operational expense investment to develop new repairs, for existing fleet and new products

  • Support visibility for total Repair Entitlement by Platform (LM2500, LM9000) working closely with Platform Leaders

  • Partner with Operations team to expand shop capabilities (insourcing, new products)

  • Enhance repair development awareness within Aero Alliance network, including closely monitoring of Repair yields, repetitive DRs, top purchased spare parts, among other KPIs.

  • Partner with Cost-Out Team exploring potential cost-out projects coming from ideas generated during AWO & sharing sessions with cross functional teams, while getting Finance’s validation of Business cases involved.

  • Identify opportunities for improved of Turn Around Time for Level 5 repairs across Supply chain of Aeroderivative technology and work cross-functionally to develop and drive action plans

  • Understand and drive partnership for improvement for GEA L5 Shops performance through recurrent reviews.

  • Ensure timely execution of repair development related programs and activities.

  • Drive strong operating rigor on execution and process improvement for Departure Records to meet critical customer needs, including centralized prioritization, working with GE Aerospace, Aero Alliance, Authorized Service Providers, and main vendors to maximize impact.

  • Work in close partnership between Engineering and Operations to execute repairs (Qualifications, development)

  • Facilitate alternative Repair Vendor(s) scouting, collaborating with Sourcing and Industrialization teams.

  • Boost Repair value defining most beneficial repair strategy in the Americas Region.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, or related field of study from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, or other relevant technical functions.

  • Demonstrable competence in Aeroderivative repair world.

  • Fluency in Italian and English is required, both written and spoken.

  • Experience that demonstrates deep technical knowledge and understanding of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines is an advantage.

  • Self-directed with demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.

  • Displays good interpersonal skills, and able to communicate well with internal and external customers.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent quality certification

  • Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives.

  • PC Proficiency

  • Understands business objectives and drives specific tasks required to meet the objectives.

  • Understands products, capabilities, and limitations in sufficient detail to be able to develop offerings that meet customer needs.

  • Communicates the business vision effectively in an open and consistent manner.

  • Encourages input from all members of the team.

  • Understands customer needs and ensures that they are met.

  • Measures processes and performance through the customer's eyes

  • Communicates messages clearly and concisely.
