RINA is currently recruiting for a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join its office in Rome, Italy within the RINA Consulting QOHSE Division.

Mission

A Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor typically plays a crucial role in supporting the HSE function within an organization. The role supports the application of the Corporate and Company policies, developing and implementing security policies, guidelines, procedures and protocols, for the security of Company assets, projects and business travels.

Key Accountabilities

Compliance Monitoring:
- Ensure the organization complies with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and track changes in regulations and update relevant stakeholders.
Risk Assessment:
- Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
- Collaborate with other departments to analyze and mitigate risks.
Training and Education:
- Support the development and delivery of HSE training programs for employees.
- Help create educational materials to promote awareness of health and safety issues.
Incident Investigation:
- Participate in investigations of accidents, incidents, or near-misses to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Assist in the documentation of incidents and the implementation of corrective actions.
Data Analysis:
- Collect and analyze HSE data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports on HSE performance and make recommendations based on the analysis.
Emergency Response Planning:
- Contribute to the development and testing of emergency response plans.
- Assist in organizing drills and training exercises for emergencies.
Inspections and Audits:
- Support regular inspections and audits to ensure HSE policies and procedures compliance.
- Document findings and work with relevant teams to address any deficiencies.
Communication:
- Assist in the communication of HSE policies and procedures to employees.
- Participate in HSE meetings and collaborate with other departments to promote a safety culture.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to HSE activities.
- Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory agencies and internal audits.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HSE processes and procedures.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate relevant updates into the HSE program.
