Front Office Department Overall Job Purpose Night Supervisor will supervise team and all property operations during the night shift. You will be an ambassador for Cardo Roma, while representing property management in resolving any guest or property related situations and personally assisting in resolving any issues. Competencies - Excellent Communication Skills - Customer service-oriented - Attention to detail - Problem solver - Positive approach - Pro-active and reliable Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Fluent in both Italian and English. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus - Strong understanding of front desk, guest services - Flexible to work various shifts including weekends and bank holidays. - Marriott Hotel experience is preferred Candidate profile Education and Experience Minimum 2-3 years experience in similar role in comparable property with sizeable rooms and meeting spaces. Preferred:
- Has demonstrated the ability to always work on behalf of Guests - Has demonstrated the ability to work with other Team Members - Successful track record of working in a collaborative/matrixed environment Principal Accountabilities Maintaining Guest Services and Front Desk Goals 1. Oversee all property operations during the night shift 2. Greet guests with a warm welcome on arrival and bid them a fond farewell on leaving. Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests. 3. Run shifts, assisting other employees to ensure prompt guest service. 4. Assist the Front Office Manager in administering front office functions during a night shift. 5. Proactively engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings. 6. Provide information to guests about:
outlets, staff and services, including hours of operation, room locations, types of rooms, room rates and discounts. 7. Partner with and assist others to promote an environment of teamwork and achieve common goals. 8. Process payments and follow all payment and cash handling procedures. 9. Train, coach and manage the Front Office team in order to support engagement and opportunity. 10. Perform duplicate reservation checks. 11. Run and check daily reports/contingency lists. 12. Supply guests with directions and information. 13. Answer, record, and process all guest, requests, questions, or concerns;
follow up to ensure each has been met to guests’ satisfaction. 14. Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in. 15. Count and secure bank at beginning and end of shift. 16. Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy. 17. Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system. 18. Balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications. 19. Issue safe deposit boxes. 20. Arrange transportation for guests/visitors. 21. Process all payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, charges, and provide change. 22. Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards. 23. Anticipate and address guests’ service needs. 24. Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. 25. Enter and locate information using computers/POS systems. Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist management in motivating and coaching employees;
serve as a departmentalrole model. - Support team to reach common goals. - Follow company policies and procedures - Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager - Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional - Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information;
protect company assets. - Prepare/review written documents accurately and completely. - Develop and maintain positive working relationships. - Ensure adherence to quality standards.
