Production Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive improvements in the production of Apparatus Medium Voltage products in the ELDS Electrification Products. Reporting to the Industrialization Manager, your focus will be on monitoring and optimizing the process and tools, through innovation and digitalization in a cost-effective way. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid. This role contributes to the Distribution Solutions Division within the Electrification Business Area in Dalmine. You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Monitoring profitability of products such as EBIT, Marginality based on technical competencies.
  2. Data analysis and processing with reporting in graphs and tables.
  3. Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implementing improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
  4. Developing and maintaining VBA applications and databases to automate repetitive tasks and speed up workflow.
  5. Product cost calculation and estimation.
  6. Ensuring optimal efficiency in production methods, equipment performance, and materials/components.
  7. Identifying and implementing improvements to the manufacturing process in line with cost, safety, and timing requirements.
  8. Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, coordinating the necessary activities.
Qualifications for the role
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Management, or Energy Engineering.
  • Qualified in mechanical processing and assembly.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles such as EBIT, Marginality, cost center composition, cost allocation, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP and the ability to estimate components.
  • Highly skilled in Excel and PowerBI and a basic programming language.
  • Aptitude for analyzing and processing data and using software.
  • Ability in reporting and creating graphs and tables.
  • Willingness to work in a team and with different stakeholders; good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable communicating in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
