You will be involved in performance cycles and help your direct reports grow and reach the next stages of their career. Next to that, you are responsible for driving technical discussions within the team. You will be working on highly scalable solutions that process many payments per second at any point of the day. System observability and scalability are becoming increasingly important.The particular position we are aiming to fill is focussed on Continuous Integration (CI)/our Build process and tools. Your team is responsible for our self-hosted Gitlab instances (code repositories and pipelines), base images, dependency management and shared pipelines. We got started moving the needle on these capabilities but are looking for an Engineering Manager who can help us get there.What you'll ship:Manage a team of 4-8 engineers directly, go through performance cycles, train them through continuous feedback and help them to the next stages in their careerBe involved in the hiring process in order to build a world-class engineering teamYou bring a strong perspective that inspires change and motivate engineers to develop scalable solutionsWork with engineers and product delivery manager to create the roadmapWork together with the team to create cutting-edge, user friendly internal products which are used by hundreds of engineers on a daily basisGuide and enable engineers based on modern platform engineering practicesDevelop a positive & collaborative work culture that empowers the team to perform at their bestWhat you'll bring:Minimum of 7 years of experience developing or operating large scale web applications of which 2+ years in an engineering management roleExperience building strong, effective engineering teams through hiring, coaching and mentoring, especially on fast growing companyExperience with observability stacks, preferably Datadog or similarExcellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholdersHaveExperience driving DevOps best practices of end-to-end responsibility, customer centricity and have automation at heartExperience implementing data-driven decision making processes through Service Level Objectives (SLOs)Experience in developing large scale systems and driving technical and architectural discussion within the teamNice to haves:Experience in working in a fast paced environmentExperience working with Google Cloud Platform, or similar public cloudExperience working with Site Reliability principles to drive operational excellence across Engineering.Solid computer science backgroundGrow your wayAt Mollie, growth is personal.
