Job SummaryCubico Sustainable investments is growing the Italian development team and is hiring a development manager to support the progression of our projects and further expand our portfolio of renewable energy projects under development in Italy (in wind, solar photovoltaic (including agriPV) and storage. The individual will be working in an international, growing and long-term asset owner company with close collaboration to central support functions.This position will report the the Italian Head of Development and can work on a hybrid basis from our offices in Milan, Rome or Brindisi.Company OverviewCubico Sustainable Investments, established in 2015 and headquartered in London, is a global leader in renewable energy investment. Cubico commits to a diverse, inclusive workforce and encourages applications from underrepresented groups.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the entire project development process from project origination to ready to build status.Leading a multi-disciplinary team, tasked to reach the ready to build stage of the projects.Prioritize, plan and coordinate project development activities according to Cubico internal strategy.Supervise the development partner on a daily basis to execute assigned projects within deadlines and budget, keeping budgetary responsibility for specific projects.Issue project plan, schedule and budget.Manage consultants and contract negotiations (technical/environmental subcontractors).Work with internal and external technical and engineering teams to ensure an optimal solution (in terms of LCOE) for all aspects of projects: implementation, technology, design, etc.Develop, manage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders of the projects under development.Evaluate new projects opportunities under development in collaboration with M&A Italian team.Person Specification:Degree in engineering, economics or similar technical form accredited university.At least 2-5 years' experience in the development of renewable energy projects in Italy, and the application for authorization.Project management skills.Knowledge of Italian legislation and renewable market.Good understanding of the utility's regulatory environment and renewable business.Self – direct with ability to work well with international team, including engineering, performance, project management.Strong planning and organizational skills, including setting priorities.Proactive and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude and high standards.English upper intermediate level.Ability to travel in Italy.At Cubico, we firmly believe that the best outcomes arise when we bring together individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills and experiences.
