Job Location: ChicagoWant to make an impact?The purpose of this Manager Sales Finance position is to act as the primary Finance contact for the Field Sales teams with responsibilities spanning the Everyday Sugar, Everyday Fruit Snacks and Seasonal business units. The core responsibilities of this role is to provide the financial expertise, analysis, and recommendations that enable efficient and effective decision-making within the business.
This role is responsible for the execution, analysis, and preparation of period close, incremental funding requests, forecast analysis, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and ad hoc financial analysis to support the growth and strategic decision making of the business. This role works closely with the Field Sales, PRGM Strategy, Sales Strategy, Brand Finance and others in the development and execution of business plans to ensure delivery of net sales targets and profitable growth of our business.
Ways you will make a differenceProvide customer insight and analysis into drivers of change for key metrics: volume, price, margin and profitability by brand and/or pack-typeIdentify any fluctuations between the plan/forecast and actual sales trend, communicate with the sales team and develop solutions to drive salesProvide insights and analytics and work alongside Revenue Management to help the sales teams develop robust customer programming that delivers against AOP metrics and accurate business forecastsExecute trade management and support analysis for pricing events and promotionsDevelop strong relationship with Sales VP and sales teamCommunicate internally the status of all deductions via trade systemProvide insights and analytics to Sr. Leadership to evaluate in-month and current quarter shipment estimatesExecute net revenue and profitability analysis for incremental funding requestsAssist with ad-hoc and cross-functional projects as requiredEagerness to learn new skills and tools as needed to streamline workSkills that will make you successfulLeadership – Ability to motivate and lead others on the team and cross-functionally to drive innovation and resolutionProblem Solving – Ability to proactively identify and assess problems and implement appropriate solutions that demonstrate understanding of team strategies and objectivesVerbal/Written Communication – Ability to adapt to and utilize multiple communication styles to effectively communicate in a concise detailed mannerInterpersonal Skills – Ability to calmly listen, assess and clarify problems and respond with solutionsAnalytical – Ability to accurately compile, calculate and summarize data in a timely manner in such a way that assist in the decision-making processTeam/Independence – Ability to work both independently and collaborativelyOrganizational – Ability to plan and prioritize work effectivelyExperiences that will support your successBachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferredMinimum 5+ years of experience with CPG preferredProficiency with the Microsoft Office suiteSAP and/or Trade Spend management tool experience is a plusEQUAL OPPORTUNITYWe are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
